Altair BatchMesher - Take a "Hands-off" Approach to Building Quality Meshes
Altair BatchMesher dramatically reduces the time and effort required to create
a high-quality finite-element mesh. For a given set of CAD files, BatchMesher
automatically performs geometry feature recognition and clean-up, and auto-meshes
parts and assemblies in batch mode.
BatchMesher directly reads native CAD file formats and performs powerful geometry
clean-up operations to generate high-fidelity models for a specified element size
and type. It also allows user-specified criteria to be defined to determine the
quality index (QI) of a model. QI optimized meshing and node placement ensures
consistent mesh quality.
Batch meshing results are stored in a HyperMesh database file that contains both
the cleaned-up geometry and the finite-element mesh. In addition, process automation
tools can be used to expand BatchMesher's capabilities to create custom batch meshing
solutions for organizations.
Altair BatchMesher Benefits
Fast and Easy "Hands-free" Meshing
BatchMesher automatically combines a broad range of user-defined settings to rapidly
generate high quality meshes while eliminating the need for manual interaction.
Streamlined GUI for Batch Mesh Setup
BatchMesher has an intuitive user interface for streamlined input of geometry
clean-up parameters and mesh quality criteria enabling customized control over the entire process.
Extend Batch Modeling Capbilities to Fit Any Environment
Process automation tools add flexibility and control to the batch mesh process beyond model clean-up and meshing.
Automated Model Assembly
Highly automated methods for rapid model assembly and management of connections such as
bolts, spot welds, adhesives and seam welds.
High Value Through HyperWorks
HyperWorks unique licensing system makes it possible to run BatchMesher with the same number of tokens as HyperMesh.
Altair BatchMesher New Feature Highlights
There is a new GUI (Graphical User Interface) for editing criteria and parameter settings.
Redesigned file browser for setting the input and output directories.
User control over launch time of a batch mesh job
Improved monitoring of "Run Status" displays individual and batch job-timing.
The criteria editor supports a solver specific element check tailoring the generated mesh to fit a solver's unique requirements.
Criteria editor now flags incorrect values saving time and eliminating errors up front.
Multiple Washer Layer Support
Enables users to accurately define multiple washer layers to meet stringent element requirements around holes.
Midsurface Creation
During the batch mesh process users can now automatically extract midsurfaces from thin walled parts of varying thickness.
Flange Recognition Control
Users can set-up various flange recognition parameters to obtain a more controlled mesh on flanged areas.
