    System 824 Product

The System 824 combines sound level meter and real-time analyzer capabilities in one small, rugged package. The instrument covers many important measuring functions in one user-friendly, hand-held design.

As functionality increases and size decreases, an advancement in user interface is required. The System 824 offers an uncomplicated user interface requiring a minimal number of key strokes to create a test setup tailored for an individual application. Pre-defined setups are built into the instrument but personalized setups are easily made via the icon-driven keypad or computer software.

With 1/1, 1/3 true digital octave analysis capabilities, or 400-line FFT, the System 824 is extremely flexible while designed for easy operation. The comfortable feel of the instrument with its light-weight design and rubberized grips makes using the System 824 even easier.

The System 824 features high speed data gathering and autostore for capturing transient events (RTA option). The time history record stores up to 38 different broadband and spectral parameters of your choice. For each interval period, the 824 stores six spectral Lns, RTA Leq, RTA Max or RTA Min (SSA). That's a lot of data!

Other easy-on-you features of the System 824 include a back-lit display and back-lit keys for use in low light conditions; intuitive Windows based software for ease of instrument measurement setup, download and viewing of measurement data, and integration with a favorite spreadsheet program. The System 824 can also print reports directly to a serial printer.

    Model 820

There exists a need to select an instrument that will do just what you need it to do. The 820 was designed with this in mind. The Model 820 is the perfect environmental noise analyzer, maintaining all of the features of the 812 but with added memory, modem capability, daily and exceedance histories.

The1/2" condenser microphones used with our Model 820 allow for a wider dynamic range and greater level of accuracy. The Models 812 and 820 meet the IEC and ANSI requirements for Type 1, Precision Integrating Sound Level Meters.

Fundamental to each of these instruments is an integrating sound level meter. Each features true RMS and dual Peak detectors that operate simultaneously. Each has Slow, Fast, and Impulse detector rates. Each has A and C frequency weighting filters.

    Application

  • Sound Level Measurements
  • Community Noise Assessment
  • Environmental Noise Monitoring
  • Statistical Analysis
  • Transportation Noise/Passby Measurement
  • Sonic boom/artillery fire measurements
  • Production Line Testing
  • Remote Outdoor Noise Monitoring (Model 820)

    Features

  • ANSI/IEC Type 1 integrating SLM
  • 110 dB dynamic range
  • Long Term logging capabilities: Interval, Time, Daily and Event histories (820 only) Statistics - user selectable 6 Ln values
  • Slow, Fast and Impulse Detectors
  • True RMS with two separate Peak detectors
