VIBCON

VIBCON is the stand-alone, two-channel monitoring device allowing continuous monitoring of the overall vibration level in rotating machinery. It is rugged and reliable, designed for machinery protection in severe industrial environments. VIBCON is user-friendly, easy to install and set up. It offers economical and easily affordable solution for early detection of machinery problems.

The two inputs of VIBCON can be easily adapted to various types of transducers. ICP or voltage transducers are standard and therefore any sensors that provides the voltage output can be connected to VIBCON. The vibration signals collected from a machine first go throught the 10Hz-1kHz band-pass filters and then the signal processing circuitry estimates their RMS or peak values. Depending on the records the appropriate alarms are being generated.

The measurment result are bezing stored in the flash memories at time intervals that are software adjustable. The result are then available over the RS-485 interface to be analyzed on a PC. These time intervals may be automatically modified when warning condition emerge. When a machine works periodically it is also possible to trigger the recording only when it is turned on.

The Windows-based software is furnished together with each VIBCON module that allows to user to program each device and to download and visualize the results that were stored in local memories. The data is in ASCII format and in addition to the measurement result it contains the time/date stamp indicating the exact time at which given result was obtained. Once in the computer the data can be sent to Excel fo in-depth analysis. If the warning or alarm thresholds are reached or it self-diagnostic routines indicate short-circuits or borken connections then the corresponding messages are sent to the computer to warn the operator.

It is easy to integrate Vibrodiagnostics Module VIBCON in protection and control systems. Module has configurable relays which provide information on breaking critical values and are equipped with two analogue output allows direct measurement of the time course. There is also a possibilityt to use the RS-485 transmission to communicate with control system.
